Water Recovery

Get Started Here!

Step 1: Site Plan

Before any pressure washing or power washing service begins, the team at Gary pressure conducts a thorough on-site inspection to identify and address any environmental or safety concerns.

  • Storm drain entry points

  •  Potential sanitary sewer connections

  • Sensitive landscaping and plant zones

  • Water collection and drainage areas

  • Water flow direction and runoff behavior

This proactive inspection ensures EPA-compliant practices, protects your property, and minimizes environmental impact—especially important in areas with strict stormwater regulations like Florida.

We clean with care—and responsibility.

Step 2: Containment

Once the power washing process begins, it’s crucial to contain the dirty wash water to prevent it from entering storm drains, harming landscaping, or polluting local waterways.

At Garys pressure cleaning, we implement advanced containment measures using a variety of tools based on your property’s layout and surface type:

  • Sandbags
    Oil absorbent pads & socks

  • Sediment and debris filters

  • Sand berms

  •  Water-filled containment bags

  • Drain covers and inlet guards

  • Heavy-duty rubber or polyurethane mats

These tools work together to capture runoff, direct flow, and ensure full compliance with Florida environmental regulations. It’s all part of our commitment to safe, eco-friendly cleaning.

Step 3: Collection

At Gary pressure cleaning, we use specialized gas-powered vacuums and water pumps to recover dirty wash water quickly and efficiently. Our fleet includes custom-built auto-discharge vacuums and systems equipped with advanced filtration technology—capable of capturing unwanted oils, sediments, and particulates before disposal or recycling.

Depending on your property and the project layout, our team will adapt our recovery approach:

  • On some jobs, we recover water directly at the source immediately after pressure washing.

  • On others, we redirect the water to a low point on-site, where we install drain covers and water collection units to safely extract and filter the runoff.

This process ensures full compliance with local environmental standards while protecting storm drains, landscaping, and surrounding areas from contamination.

Step 4: Disposal / Recycling

At Gary pressure cleaning, we operate with some of the most advanced mobile wastewater recycling technology available in the industry. Our eco-conscious systems can process and clean dirty wash water to a level that allows us to reuse it for additional cleaning—reducing waste and conserving resources.

Depending on the nature and volume of the wastewater, we may employ one of several compliant and environmentally responsible strategies:

  • Reuse filtered water on-site after processing through advanced oil/water separation and filtration down to 5 microns.

  • Apply chemical flocculants to remove oils, toxins, dissolved solids, and other pollutants for safer disposal.

  • When permitted, discharge pre-filtered water onto local landscaping to minimize waste.

  • Release water—filtered to 20 microns or better—into the sanitary sewer, in compliance with local regulations.

  • Route treated water into a properly engineered on-site clarifier when available.

  • Safely drum and haul wastewater for off-site processing via a licensed transporter when required.

The method we choose depends on the volume, composition, and toxicity of the wastewater generated during your pressure washing project. Our goal is always to protect your property, comply with Florida and municipal regulations, and promote sustainability.

Dangers of Ignoring Service

ous wash water into municipal storm drain systems (MS4). These drains flow directly into our local rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Violating this federal regulation can result in fines of up to $10,000 per incident—and both the contractor and the property owner may be held equally liable. To protect you and the environment, we follow strict Best Management Practices (BMPs):

  • Our mobile power wash rigs are equipped with industrial vacuums to recover all dirty wash water

  • We utilize a closed-loop, zero-discharge system with advanced filtration, allowing us to reuse water safely during the cleaning process

  • For added peace of mind, we can provide a Pollution Prevention Voucher, documenting the use of EPA-compliant and environmentally responsible methods on your property.
